Medication Schedules
From prescription to multilingual reminder — with a human in the loop.
Managing medications for an ageing parent is high-stakes and easy to get wrong. A missed dose or a misread instruction can have serious consequences, yet the information usually lives on a crumpled paper prescription or a pharmacist label that is hard to parse under pressure.
KampongKares takes the prescription — a photo or pasted text — and runs it through OCR followed by AI structuring. The output is a structured medication record: drug name, dosage, route of administration, food instructions (take with food / on an empty stomach / any time), and frequency. But crucially, none of this is saved automatically.
Every parsed result goes through a human-confirm UI where the caregiver can review each field, edit anything the AI got wrong, and only then commit the record. The system is advisory; the human is in charge. Once confirmed, the medication is added to the schedule and push reminders are queued.
Reminders are sent in the elder's preferred language — set once per recipient and applied to every notification. A grandparent who is most comfortable in Mandarin will receive their reminders in 中文; a Malay-speaking elder in Bahasa Melayu. No configuration required per medication.
