When an elder has a fall or a sudden medical need, the family scrambles through a WhatsApp thread trying to figure out who is free and who is nearby. By the time someone responds, critical minutes have passed.
KampongKares maintains a roster of every caregiver in the circle — their available days and hours, their skills (medication-trained, physiotherapy assistance, Mandarin-speaking, mobility aid-capable), and their home postal code. This information is updated by each caregiver themselves and visible to the whole circle.
When something urgent arises, the dispatch algorithm surfaces the caregiver who can be there soonest — calculated from real travel time using their home location, not just alphabetical order or seniority. Admins can see the ranked list and confirm the dispatch.
Leave requests are handled inside the app. A caregiver submits a leave request with start date, end date, and reason; an admin approves or rejects it. Approved leave is automatically reflected in availability, so the dispatch algorithm never routes an urgent request to someone who is away.
