Shared Expenses

No more awkward WhatsApp receipts or forgotten IOUs.

The costs of caring for an ageing parent spread across medication, transport to appointments, physiotherapy, groceries, and household supplies. When multiple family members are contributing, keeping track of who paid what — and who owes what — becomes a source of friction and occasional resentment.

KampongKares logs every expense with a description, category, and amount. Each expense is then split equally among all caregivers and admins in the circle. The balance summary shows each person's total share, what they have paid, and the net balance — a positive balance means someone has overpaid and is owed money; a negative balance means they owe the circle.

Any member can mark their share as settled, and the balance updates in real time. There is no complex payment integration — KampongKares tracks the accounting; the actual transfer happens however the family prefers (PayNow, cash, bank transfer).

All expense data is scoped to the care circle. No one outside the circle — not even other KampongKares users — can see your family's expense records.
